The carob tree (from the Arabic al-kharroube), also called Ceratonia Siliqua, grows naturally in Mediterranean forests, it can reach several meters in height and its evergreen leaves provide shade and freshness throughout the year. It is a tree that can live up to 500 years. Able to grow and develop in dry environments, it is 100% organic.

To better understand the “biology” of the carob tree, you should also know that it has very poor resistance to cold, and that its root system is said to be taproot, like the argan tree, which allows it to search for water at great depths. It loses some of its leaves in July when they are two years old. You can start to see the flowers (from August to November) and then ripe fruits in July of the following year.
